Sor's story

Sor is 53 years old, married, and has four children. She lives with her family in the Angkor Borei District of Takeo Province. She is a farmer who owns few hectares of farm land on which she grows various kinds of crops, including rice and potatoes.

Sor and her husband help each other earn household income, so that they are able to provide food, medicines, education, and basic living needs. Her husband helps her to earn more financial by having the occupation as hair dresser. And has the duties with this career such as talking to clients about what they want, suggest style ideas, cut and style hair, color, curl or straighten hair, and give advice on minor hair and scalp problems. She takes payments, orders stock and promotes products to customers, keeping up to date with new trends, techniques and hair products.

Due to a shortage of her money, she is asking for a loan to buy construction supplies to renovate her old home. She hopes that, through the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions. She will have enough funds to purchase construction supplies such as bricks, cement, zinc and other necessary things and pay for labors costs.
