A loan helped to pay for land filling around her house to cover the mud.

Seynoun's story

Seynoun, aged 58, is married and has five children. She lives with her family located in the area of Bakan district, Takeo province.

Seynoun and her husband are helping each other in their agriculture business. They own and manage a few hectares of farmland growing and harvesting rice crops and agricultural produce seasonally. She has responsibilities in her agriculture business such as driving and operating rice-farm machinery to prepare land, till the soil, build ditches and levees, and harvest rice crops. She also hitches farm implements to the tractor and drives the tractor along existing swaths and contours of rice fields to plow and level fields, and build or shore up ditches and levees of their flood-irrigation system. She can earn approximately USD 5 per day to support her family's expenses. Her children assist her greatly in this agribusiness.

Because of the shortages in her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 4,000,000 to pay for land filling around her house to cover the mud. With this loan support, she can pay for land filling and provide her family members with a good environment, fresh air, protection from illness, and good living conditions.

In the future, she aims to renovate her old house and purchase more land for agricultural purposes. She sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help a poor fellow like her, and she believes that through her hard work and perseverance she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
