Sopha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more grocery products to sell to fulfill the needs of her customers.

Sopha's story

Sopha, age 27, lives with her family in the area of Preah Sdach District, Prey Veng Province. At home, she has been operating a small convenience shop, offering many types of products including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things to local people in her community.

She has good responsibilities in her task such as asking customers questions and recommending the best product based on their desires and needs, and preparing products to be displayed on the sales floor. She also has sales skills, customer service, money handling, negotiation, memorization, communication skills, and physical fitness.

Because of the phenomenon of Covid-19, her income from selling grocery products is decreasing because the customers in her community are reducing demand, affecting prices. Sopha faces a loss of income-earning opportunities.

Because of the shortage of her finances, she has applied for a loan to purchase more grocery products to sell to fulfill the needs of her customers. This loan is very important for her to allow her to have enough funds to purchase grocery products and earn additional income to support her family's living needs, especially her children education fees. She also can save some money for use in future needs and improve her family's economy.

She believes that through her hard work and perseverance she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
