A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Ny's story

Ny, age 45, is married and has four children. She lives with her family located in the area of Preah Sdach district, in Prey Veng province. She is a housewife and her family members depend on her husband's income. He is working as soldier. He works very well at his workplace. In times of peace, a soldier will spend their career honing their skills in training. When deployed, a soldier's duties may be to patrol areas for security or to seek out enemy combatants, post guard duty, conduct military attacks, and protect, as well as escort and engage in protective duties. Two of her oldest children are working as garment workers at the small factory to earn additional income.

Currently, Ny's house doesn't have a safe latrine and she cannot provide good sanitation for her family members. As of now, she is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine at home. In this way, she hopes to increase the value of her home, improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment. With this loan support, she is able to purchase construction supplies, such as bricks and cement to build a safe latrine, and pay for labor costs. She sends her thanks to all lenders for contributing their funds to help poor people like her and she promises to pay the loan back on time as scheduled.
