A loan helped to buy construction supplies to renovate her old home.
Oeurn is 55 years old, married, and has five children and four of her oldest children are married and live elsewhere. She lives with her family in the Angkor Borei district of Takeo province. She is a farmer who owns few hectares of farm land on which she grows various kinds of crops, including rice and potatoes. Oeurn and her husband help each other earn household income, so that they are able to provide food, medicines, education, and for basic living needs. Her husband helps her to earn additional income through being a construction worker. Every day her husband is striving very hard at the construction site undertaking tasks such as operating and caring for construction equipment and machines, helping with equipment operation, carpentry, and other skilled labor and when necessary, preparation of construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards and performing site clean-up. At the moment, Her house is under construction and she needs more materials to finish it. Due to a shortage of money, she is asking for a loan to by construction supplies to renovate her old home. She hopes that, through the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions. She will then have enough funds to purchase construction supplies such as bricks, cement, zinc and other necessary items as well as pay for the labourers costs. She believes that through her hard work and perseverance she will someday be able to attain a better standard of living.
