A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Sav's story

Sav is 36 years old, married, and has one child who's attending school. She lives with her family in the Bakan district of Pursat province.

Sav is a farmer who owns a few hectares of farmland on which she grows various kinds of crops, including rice and potatoes. Sav is trying very hard every day to earn household income, so that she's able to provide food, medicines, education, and basic living needs for her child. She has knowledge in her agricultural storage, and it's very important for her family because storage protects the quality of perishable and semi-perishable products from deterioration and helps in the stabilization of prices by adjusting demand and supply. Storage is necessary for some period for the performance of other marketing functions.

Currently, her house doesn't have a safe latrine for use at home, so she cannot provide sanitation for living to her family members. As of now, she is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine at home.

In this way, she hopes to increase the value of her home, improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment. With this loan support, she is able to purchase construction supplies, such as bricks and cement to build a safe latrine, and pay for labor costs.

She believes that through her hard work and perseverance, she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
