Karen Valesca's story

Karen Valesca is 24, married and has one young child. She has a small, well-stocked local store in the house where she lives. She runs it herself, and her mother helps her to buy the merchandise in the market. Her sales are always in cash, and likewise she has to buy in cash. She began this business 2 and a half years ago, when her husband was unemployed. Her husband now works as a delivery man in a distribution company, but they saw that the business was profitable and so they decided to continue with it. The requested loan will be invested in the purchase of inventory for the store, principally basic grains, since she wants to stock up. Karen's dream has always been to own her own home, as the one they currently live in belongs to her mother.
