A loan helped to increase her grocery store.

Phearann's story

Phearann is married woman living in Thala Barivat district with her husband and children, who currently still depend on her income. Phearann, together with her husband, works hard in order to educate their children and provide basic needs to the family.

At home, Phearann has been operating a small convenience shop offering many types of products, including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things to local people in her community.

Phearann makes a suitable income of 4 USD per day, from which she can cover her daily costs. Her husband helps her to earn additional income by having the occupation as a construction worker and works more hours everyday.

Due to the shortage of her finances, Phearann has applied for a loan in the amount of 6,000,000 KHR to increase her grocery store. With this purpose, she aims to purchase more grocery products to fulfill the needs of her customers and increase her store, too.

A grocery store is a store primarily engaged in retailing a general range of food products, which may be fresh or packaged. In the future, she aims to renovates her old house and push her children to continue studying at university.

Phearann hopes that her income will be better though using the loan from Kiva lenders.
