Mon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more lumber to finish construction on her home.

Mon's story

Mon is 42 years old, married and has three children. She is a farmer and lives with her family in the area of the Angkor Borei district in Takeo Province. Mon and her husband help each other earn their household’s income so that they are able to provide food, medicine, education and basic daily needs for their children.

Mon owns a few hectares of farmland on which she grows various types of crops, including rice and potatoes. She pays particular attention to her rice’s milling. It is very important to remove the husk and bran layers to leave the edible, white rice kernel that is sufficiently milled and free of impurities. Depending on the requirement of the customer, the rice should have a minimum of broken kernels.

At the moment, Mon’s house is under construction, and she needs more supplies to finish it. Due to a shortage of money, she is asking for a loan to buy more lumber. She hopes that with the help of a loan she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions. She sends thanks to all lenders for helping poor people such as she to improve their families’ status.
