Chomraeun's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a plot of land for building a small store.

Chomraeun's story

Chomraeun, age 40, is married and has two children who're attending school. He lives with his family in the area of Krong Kracheh district, Kracheh province. He earns a living by selling khmer cakes at the local market. He has a life partner who is very supportive in the business.

Chomraeun and his wife have good experience in cooking khmer cakes. Everyday he has to get up early to commute to the market and purchase ingredients for cooking such as pastry flour, oil, coconut, firewood and others necessary things. Sometimes, Chomraeun has to travel around the village to sell his khmer cakes to others villagers to earn additional income to support his family's living needs such as food, clothes, and especially his children's education fees. He's shown in this photo with his lovely wife.

Due to the shortage of his finance, he has applied for a loan of 8,000,000 Cambodian riels (KHR) to purchase a plot of land for building a small store. With this loan support, he will have enough funds to purchase bricks, cements, zinc, and other equipment and can pay for labor costs. This new store is very important for his family because he will not need to pay the high costs to rent a store at the market and can save some money to use for future needs.

He believes that through his hard work and perseverance, he will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
