Vanny's story

Vanny, age 65, is married and has seven children. She lives with her family in the area of Krong Kracheh district, Kracheh province. She earns to lives by selling khmer cakes at the local market. She has a life partner who is very supportive in the business.

Vanny and her husband have good experience in cooking khmer cakes and every day she has to get up early to commute to the market, purchasing ingredients for cooking such as pastry flour, oil, coconuts, firewood and other necessary things. Her children assist her greatly in earning more financial income to supporting their living. Some of her children are cultivating and harvesting rice crops and other agriculture products seasonally.

At the moment, Vanny’s home is under construction and she needs more materials to have it finished. Due to a shortage of money, she is asking for a loan to buy construction supplies for the construction of her home. She has requested a loan in the amounting of KHR 4,000,000 to buy cement, brick and other equipment for building a new house. She hopes that, through the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions.

In the future, she aims to open a small grocery store and purchase more land for farming purposes. She sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help support poor fellows like her.
