A loan helped to pay for vegetable seedlings, gardening tools, pesticides and labor costs for her farming business.

Anneth's story

Anneth is a 29-year-old woman who is married with four children and they live in a community outside Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island.

She has a garden where she grows root crops and vegetables that she can sell at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for eight years. To earn additional income, she also runs a small food marketing business selling mixed goods such as betel-nuts, leaf and cigarettes.

Anneth has requested a loan to pay for additional vegetable seedlings, gardening tools, pesticides and labor costs to assist her with her farming business.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's financial needs and improve her business.

She joined SPBD in 2016 to gain access to financial services.
