Mchungaji Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy bulk supplies of cornflour, which will build on her initial capital.

Mchungaji Group's story

Angeline is a customer of the Hekima MFI and leader of the "Mchungaji" village group. She is married, 50 years old, and the mother of 10 children, five of whom are in school; her partner is unemployed.

She sells food items, having set up this business in 2006 with start-up funds received from her husband. Later she started working with the Hekima program for business support, over the course of which she has progressively developed.

With this new loan, she will get bulk supplies of cornflour, which will build on her initial capital. There are no challenges in her work. She would like to build a house.

Lastly, she wishes to thank Hekima and partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in this context of the global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19.
