A loan helped buy cookies, oil, flour, and sugar to bolster her initial capital.
Ufundi Group's story
Madame Ursule is a client of IMF Hekima and oversees the "Ufundi" groupe villageoise. She is married, 42 years old, and has 10 children who all go to school. Her partner is out of work.
Ursule sells various types of food. She started her business in 1986 with startup capital received from her husband.
Later on, Ursule joined Hekima's loan program to support her business, during which time it has grown progressively. With this new loan, she wants to buy cookies, oil, flour, and sugar to bolster her initial capital. The challenge with her activity is that her rent is very expensive.
Ursule would like her children to continue to go to school. In closing, she wants to thank Hekima and their partners for the support they give to non-bankable business owners, especially in the context of the COVID-19 global crisis. The photo is just of the group leader due to COVID-19.
