A loan helped to pay for fence construction around her house.

Sothewavy's story

Sothewavy, age 44, is married and lives with her family, located in the area of Tram Kak district, Takeo province.

Everyday in the morning, she goes to the river to purchase fishes from fishermen to be sold at the local market to earn a profit for supporting her family members' needs.

Domestic markets and distribution of fish are dominated by a large number of intermediaries. All fish traded internally and for export pass through private channels. Fish distribution usually involves four levels such as Primary markets, Secondary markets, Higher secondary markets and City or terminal markets.

Her husband helps with a strong effort in this career and they can earn approximately USD 8 per day. They have expenses of daily meals, clothes, medicine and her child's education fees.

Because of the shortage of her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for fence construction around her house. With this loan support, she will have enough money to purchase construction supplies such as bricks and cement and to pay for laborers. This new fence is very important to protect them and have a comfortable living standard and good environment.

She sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help a poor person like her and she promises to pay the loan back on time as scheduled.
