Kimsat's story

Kimsat, age 34, is married and has one child. She lives with her family in the Bourei Cholsar district, Takeo province. Kimsat and her husband are helping each other in earning by having the occupation of wedding embellishment providers. She earns profit from the customers who hire her traditional equipment such as chairs for guests, chairs for the bride and groom, tables (or altars) for the celebrants, electricity sources, heating/fans/umbrellas as required, baskets, petals, or signs for flower girls and page boys, ceremony symbols (hand-fastening ribbon, sand, tree planting, gifts for a church ceremony, etc.) and other necessary things.

Because of a shortage in her finances, she has applied a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for ground filler to cover the mud around her house. With this loan support, she can pay for the ground filling and provide her family members with a good environment, fresh air, protecting them from illness and creating good living conditions.
