Kulya's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase her sales of milk to a local factory.

Kulya's story

Kulya, 62, is married and has one son. She has a secondary education. As a main source of income for her family, Kulya has been involved in animal husbandry and crop farming since 1995. Thanks to her tireless work, currently there are three cows and 20 sheep, as well as a plot of land measured 2.0 hectares where she grows beans.

Kulya has a contract with a local dairy processing plant to supply organic milk. It allows her to continuously invest into her agricultural business. Having learnt that she can take a loan at Bai Tushum Bank under the 'Value-added Chain' program using her contract as a collateral, Kulya requested a loan in the sum of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows in order to increase her organic milk sales. The payments for the milk by the plant will be directly transferred to Kulya's bank account and the loan repayment installments will be automatically deducted. The proceeds from the loan will help Kulya further develop her farm and improve her family's financial wellbeing.
