Susarkan's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase her sales of milk to a local factory.

Susarkan's story

Susarkan, 40, is a widow and a mother of five children. She has a secondary education. As a main source of income for her family, Susarkan has been involved in animal husbandry and crop farming since 2000. Thanks to her tireless work, currently there are two cows 25 sheep and three horses on her farm, as well as a plot of land measured 1.5 hectares where she grows beans.

Susarkan has a contract with a local dairy processing plant to supply organic milk. It allows her to continuously invest into her agricultural business. Having learnt that she can take a loan at Bai Tushum Bank under the 'Value-added Chain' program using her contract as a collateral, Susarkan requested a loan in the sum of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows in order to increase her organic milk sales. The payments for the milk by the plant will be directly transferred to Susarkan's bank account and the loan repayment installments will be automatically deducted. The proceeds from the loan will help Susarkan further develop her farm. She also plans to start a construction of a new house.
