A loan helped to pay for land filling around her house.

Mao's story

Mao is 60 years old and a humble villager living in Treang district with her husband and a child. At home, Mao has been operating a small convenience shop, offering many types of products including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things to local people in her community. She makes a suitable income of 4.00 USD per day, from which she can cover her daily costs. Mao’s husband is working as paid laborer who takes part in construction business activities to earn more additional income.

Because of the shortage of her finance, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for land filling around her house. With this loan, she can pay for land filling and can provide her family members with good environment, fresh air, protect from illness and assure living in good conditions. She can also cover the mud around her house and have a suitable place for selling her grocery products. In the future, she aims to renovate her old house and increase her grocery shop. She sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help poor woman like her and promises to pay loan back on time as scheduled.
