Philis's story

Philis is 46 years old and the ever-smiling mother of four school-going children. She lives in Eldoret, a town where the main economic activities include agricultural processing, particularly in dairy and corn. Philis has been supporting her family through mixed dairy and crop farming for the past few years.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is on the frontline in combating this pandemic through supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs in this difficult period.
