Nua Ngam 27 Group's story

Ms. Thom, 26 years old, is a Thai ethnic woman who married and has a son is in 1st grade. Her family lives in a small house on stilts in the mountains of northern Vietnam, where agriculture is the main activity. She and her husband do some works to earn income for the family such as: growing rice, maize, raising pigs, chickens and ducks. She grew up in difficult circumstances, so she always strives to rise out of poverty. She decided to get a 4th round loan of the Anh Chi Em program to invest in buying a baby buffalo because she thinks that the buffalo has less disease and the buffalo can plow, help reduce the labor force of the farmer. She also hopes that her little experience together the technical support from the Anh Chi Em program's staff, her baby buffalo will grow up healthy to plow and breed well.
