Blanca Tulmira's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fish, yucca, cola, water, containers, etc.

Blanca Tulmira's story

Blanca Tulmira and her family live in the parish of Calderón de Portoviejo, known for its gastronomy -- its traditional blood sausage and pork sausage, peanut paste, salprieta [peanut-based spice mixture], caramel peanuts, salted peanuts, cracked peanuts, peanut flour, and other derivations.

On Saturdays and Sundays, Blanca Tulmira prepares encebollados (a traditional Ecuadorian soup made with fresh albacore or tuna, yucca, onion, tomato, cilantro, and condiments) at her house. It is served with picked onions and tomatoes, fried plantains, peppers, or spicy salsa to taste.

She works in the day. At the moment, she is not going out to sell on the road. At the beginning, the health emergency was very bad for her because she couldn't make sales, but now little by little she is reactivating [the business] in order to continue generating her income.

This loan is to buy fish, yucca, colas, water, containers, etc. Her dream is to have a permanent location to continue her sales and that her family might have very good health.
