Kadiatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 50-year-old Kadiatu from Wilberforce Branch. She is married with four children between the ages of 15 and 28, and one of them is attending school. She started this business to care for her family welfare.

Kadiatu runs a retail business and sells food stuffs like, rice, oil, palm oil, maggi, pepper and other assorted item. She has been in this business for 3 years now. Her other source of income come from her husband’s business. Her main challenge is slow sales during this COVID 19.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase food stuff like, rice, palm oil, vegetable oil, maggi, groundnut and other assorted items to increase her business. Kadiatu says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and take care of her family.
In the future, she would like to grow the business. She says thanks to Brac and Kiva for their support.
