Juliet's story

Juliet, 44 years old, is a mother of 2 school going children. She has remained very hardworking and always desires to achieve. She is a farmer and a very focused person who would give anything to see her family continuing to progress. Although she has experienced many professional setbacks, Juliet decided that she could not lose hope.

When she learned about Juhudi and Kiva from a Juhudi Kilimo loan officer, she became interested in the good work that Kiva does to support small-holder farmers. Juliet is happy to have access to reliable microfinance, and she attended regular training sessions to learn about savings and loans.

At her farm, she grows various crops. The main challenge that this enterprising woman has often complained of her crops reaching the market late hence fetching a low price. Therefore, she is asking for this loan to rent a motorbike to use in transporting her perishable farm produce to the market.

Through the loan her produce will fetch a high price
