Veisinia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pandanus leaves for her weaving business.

Veisinia's story

Veisinia is a 33-year-old weaver with one child. Her husband is a seasonal worker, but he is stuck overseas because of a lockdown. Veisinia and her son live at their home. She is an independent weaver and does not rely on her husband to send home money.

Veisinia weaves ta’ovala [a native garment], mainly in children’s sizes and sells them through social media. She is receiving more customers through social media.

Veisinia is applying for a loan to buy a sufficient amount of pandanus leaves for her weaving. The only challenge she faces is that there is a shortage of this material since it is prized in the marketplace, which sometimes drives the price up and she is not able to purchase enough. Only a loan will help her to resolve this problem and she believes the lenders will offer her a helping hand.
