Heimis Esther's story

Esther Heimis is a businesswoman and mother of two. She is married and lives with her family in the city of Barranquilla. She set up her business in order to earn an income to help cover the household expenses.

Heimis is a professional educator who runs a daycare service from the comfort of her home. She provides educational support for young children and she has extensive experience in this area.

Her business has achieved great results and Heimis sees childhood education as highly important. Her service benefits her community greatly as it is providing the country’s current generation of children with the educational support they need.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis her students stopped attending and this has affected her income. Heimis is applying for her first Kiva loan, in partnership with Fundación Santo Domingo, to mitigate the impact of COVID-19. She will use the loan to pay for public services, taxes, wages and educational materials like puzzles, coloring books, colored pencils, pencils, and play dough.

As a businesswoman Heimis wants to provide children with the level of service they deserve. This will help to attract more customers, increase profits and improve her living standards. Please support Esther Heimis’s loan.
