Renson Jose's story

Renson Jose is a 33-year-old businessman who lives with his wife in the city of Cartagena. For 2 years he has had a business selling clothing such as jeans, sweaters, shirts, shorts, shoes, and others.

He used to work in the Cartagena Rafael Núñez airport, where he distributed merchandise to his co-workers and airport employees. After his contract ended, he had the idea of starting his own business, so he decided to continue informally with this activity, taking advantage of the fact he had existing customers and contacts. He did not limit himself to selling only to previous clients, he also started selling to family, neighbors, close friends and by referrals.

He currently employs one person, which contributes to local employment and the well being of other families.
He is well known in the area for the quality of his products and the good customer service he provides. Unfortunately, due to the worldwide Covid19 pandemic, his work situation deteriorated and his income decreased drastically.

This is why he joined the program Cartagena Responde to request his first Kiva loan from Fundación Santo Domingo to invest in buying jeans, shirts, and shoes, and also pay the rent. Support him on this business loan.
