Margarita Del Rocío's story

Margarita del Rocío is married and has 3 underage children who attend to elementary and middle school. Her husband works at a tuna factory in Manta. They live in La Sequita de Montecristi, a canton known for its famous Panama hats that are requested both inside and outside of the country. The inhabitants work in farming and livestock.

Margarita del Rocío works selling plastics products, sheets, and clothing for woman, men and children. She sells from door-to-door. She also works rearing chickens and pigs, and her husband now helps her with this activity since he is out of job. They sell the animals alive and their customer go to their house to buy them.

She also works at a place removing the pulp of soursops from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. She gets paid for her work whenever there is a production of the fruit.

The health crisis was very hard for her at the beginning because she could not sell, but now things are slowly reactivating and they are able to start generating incomes again. This loan will be used to buy plastic products.

Her dreams for the future are to have a poultry farm, and to see her family with good health.
