Betty Monserrate's story

Betty Monserrate is in a common-law marriage, from which she has 3 children. Her spouse is a mason. They live in La Sequita de Montecristi, a canton known for the famous "Panama" hats which are appreciated within the country and abroad. Its residents also work in agriculture and raise animals.

Betty Monserrate worked raising and selling pigs but decided to go back to her small store where she sells a great variety of groceries, legumes, meat, jugs of water, detergents, ice cream, and other products to satisfy her customers' needs. Her spouse helps her with the sales.

At first the health crisis was very bad for her since she was unable to sell but now, little by little, she is reactivating it so to be able to continue generating her income.

This loan is to purchase a variety of products such as dairy and meat, and to continue stocking the business. Her dream is that her family is very healthy and that her business continues growing.
