A loan helped purchase farm inputs.

Betty's story

Betty is a female Ugandan aged 57 years. She is from Kagadi, Buyaga East County, Kagadi district. She is a single mother of three children.

She is a hardworking and enterprising farmer growing mostly coffee and cassava as cash crops. Besides farming, she is employed by the government as a parish chief. These business engagements have fostered the general well-being of the client’s family, enabling her to lead a reasonably good life, including educating her children plus constructing a residential house and acquiring land as a valuable fixed asset.

She is a first-time borrower with UGAFODE and has taken a loan 2,000,000 UGX to buy farm inputs. She is always faced with a challenge of price fluctuation, which affects hers cash inflow.
