Lydia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped invest in organic manure.

Lydia's story

Lydia is a married woman with four children. She is a farmer, mainly of matooke. It's a main delicacy in the region, and basically every home owns a banana plantation and the weather favours it. It's also bought by people from across the border to the neighbouring country.

Because matooke is a long term crop, the soil gets eroded and depleted if not occasionally mulched, thus affecting the production.

Lydia is therefore seeking a loan facility to help her buy cow dung and coffee husks that she will spread on her banana plantation to help boost the yield.

She is thankful for the support rendered to rural women that has given them the opportunity to be financially independent, and thus improve their homesteads.
