A loan helped to buy construction supplies for the renovation of her old home.

Lay's story

Lay, age 31, is married and has one child who's attending school. She lives with her family, and they are located in the area of Kiri Vong district, Takeo province.

With her many years of experience, she is expert in taking care of her rice crops and ensuring abundant harvests each year, except for the year of a big flood. Processing of rice is one thing that aids her family's food security.

Lay is very serious about rice milling, which is a crucial and very important step in rice processing. The basic objectives of a rice milling system are to remove the husk and the bran layers and produce an edible, clean white rice kernel that is sufficiently milled and free of impurities.

At the moment, her house is under construction and she needs more materials to have it finished. Due to her having a shortage of money, she is asking for a loan to buy construction supplies for the renovation of her old home.

She hopes that, through the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions and protection from climate change such as raining.

She sends thanks to all lenders for helping her and other poor people to improve their families' economic conditions.
