Andrea Carmelina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to increase her working capital and buy a new sewing machine and materials such as fabrics, threads, pins, buttons, and other items.

Andrea Carmelina's story

Andrea is a 25-year-old enterprising woman. She is a resident of Barranquilla where she lives with her husband and young daughter and where she owns a dressmaking business.

Andrea Carmelina started this business 5 years ago due to the lack of job opportunities and her wish to get her family ahead and provide for them a better life.
In time she made a name for herself for being responsible, hard working and disciplined. She offers her services daily to her main customers who are neighbors, local residents, and companies. She accepts both cash and credit payments.

At this time her business is shut down due to the health crisis caused by the Covid19 pandemic. This is why, thanks to the program Atlántico Responde, she is requesting her first Kiva loan through Fundación Santo Domingo to be able to increase her working capital and buy a new sewing machine and materials such as fabrics, threads, pins, buttons, and other items. This way she hopes to reactivate her business and increase both sales and her income. Support her on this business loan.
