A loan helped to purchase land to make filling around her house and pay for labor costs.

Navy's story

Navy, age 27, married and has two children who're attending school. She lives with her family located in the area of Kaoh Thum district, Kandal province. She works at a small factory as a garment worker and has a very interesting skill in tailoring clothes. She can earn approximately of USD 6 per day which is used to pay for family expense such as foods, medicine, clothes and especially for her children's education fees. Her husband supports her by earning additional income. Her husband participates in construction business and works very hard everyday at the construction site to prepare construction supplies for buildings and spends more than 8 hours per day to ensure that his family members have enough food to eat.

Due to insufficient finance, Navy has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,00,000 to purchase land to make filling around her house and pay for labor cost. With land filling, she can cover the mud that causes disease to her family member's health. She also aims to grow vegetable with this good environment and can have enough good space for constructing her house. She can provide for her family members to live with good sanitation, protect them from illness and improve her family's living standards.
