Samiatu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase her goods in bulk to increase her profit margin.

Samiatu's story

Samiatu is a 22-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Bole district of Ghana. She runs a business selling a variety of food items from fresh produce to canned tomatoes and seasonings.

She is requesting a Kiva loan that will empower her to purchase her goods in bulk to increase her profit margin. She plans to use the profit she earns to pay her school fees and support her family's daily needs. She will repay the loan with ‘social interest’ by volunteering two-and-a-half hours each week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in local schools. She will cover topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path, and active citizenship. Samiatu's dream is to become a successful business woman.
