Chanthy's story

Chanthy, age 61, is married and has two children who are attending school. She lives in the area located in Krong Pursat district, Pursat province.

Chanthy is working as a government officer and can earn approximately USD 7 per day. She has a large responsibility in earning income to support her family's expenses with her husband, who's working as sculptor.

Her husband has a very remarkable skill in carving the sculpture from stone, which can be carving as the sculpture of traditional equipment and other animals sculpture.

She wants to be more successful in her family-owned businesses and earn a good income to meet her daily living needs.

As of now, she is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine at home. In this way, she hopes to increase the value of her home and improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment.

With this loan support, she is able to purchase construction supplies such as bricks and cement to build a safe latrine and pay for labor costs.
