A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase income from selling organic milk.

Nurgul's story

This beautiful woman, Nurgul, is sending greetings from Tyup. She is 54 years old, married and has adult children, who live on their own. She has a college education and is a responsive and hardworking woman. To provide the primary income for her family, she has been involved in animal husbandry and farming since 1995. Thanks to Nurgul's hard work and her husband's help with the business, today her farm contains four cows, 30 sheep, five horses and four hectares of irrigated land, where she grows organic barley and alfalfa. To continue growing her business, she is requesting support from the Kiva Fund in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows in order to increase income from selling organic milk. The profit from the loan will help her increase her headcount of purebred cows and to purchase a new house.
