Héctor David's story

Héctor David is a 36-year-old micro-entrepreneur who lives in the town of Baranoa. He lives with his family. He has owned a bakery as a commercial activity for 5 years, where he offers products such as: cheese fingers, empanadas, croissants, cheese bread and sandwiches, cupcakes, cakes, among others.

He started this business because his father always dedicated himself to this activity, generating financial profitability for him. Once he learned how to make these, he decided to open his own business to help support his home and his needs. and to be able to give employment to other unemployed people. Today he has returning customers such as: neighbors, friends, visitors, drivers among others.

But due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, his level of work deteriorated due to biosecurity issues and his income drastically decreased. For this reason, he joined the "Atlantic Responds" program to request his first loan with the Santo Domingo Foundation in order to invest in the purchase of bulk flour, yeast, an oven, among other general management expenses.
