A loan helped to buy plastic straw rope and seaweeds.

Henry's story

Henry is 55-years-old and married. He and his family live in an Island of Bato, Leyte where most of the people earn an income through fishing and seaweeds farming. Henry and his family are one of them. They have been in this livelihood for many years to support the family.

Now, he asks for a loan of PHP 40,000 through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI-Philippines. He will use this loan to buy plastic straw rope and seaweeds.

Indeed, this loan will be a great help for them, thus, allowing them to have a bountiful harvest.

Henry wants to augment their livelihood in the future and become productive.
