Kuña Mbarete Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy vegetables, baked goods, leafy greens, dairy products, and other products to sell.

Kuña Mbarete Group's story

The group called Kuña Mbarete was formed by friends and neighbors in the city of Caaguazú who joined together to seek ways to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are in their sixth loan cycle in the women's committee program.

Valeriana is one of the members. She has a small grocery store in her house. She mentions that her work has been a great help to her in being able to give her family the best. She says that because of the crisis affecting the world due to the Covid-19 pandemic, she has not been able to work as she normally would to generate the means to help her family, and this has brought consequences for her business.

She says that she needs to invest a little more capital in her business so that she can reopen it and get herself off the ground again.

She is requesting this loan to buy products for her store, like vegetables, baked goods, leafy greens, dairy products, and other products to sell.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo because of restrictions on gatherings of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
