Mom's story

Mom, age 23, sells merchandise such as grocery items, sweets, snack foods, spices, canned goods, noodles, and household products. She lives with her family located in the area of Bakan district, Pursat province. She can earn approximately of USD 5 per day and it's not enough to cover the cost of her family's expenses. Her husband helps her to earn more additional income by working as a construction worker, providing construction service to customers with loyalty and is hard working.

Her house doesn't have a safe latrine for use at home and she cannot provide a sanitation to members. Due to the insufficiency of her finance, she has applied for a loan in the amounting of KHR 5,000,000 to build a safe latrine and pay for land filling to cover the mud around her house. With this loan support, she will have enough funds to purchase construction supplies such as bricks, cement and pay for laborers' cost. Mom aims to save some part of this fund to help to use in the future needs. Also with this loan, her family members will live in a good condition and be protected from illness.
