Evagerine's story

Happy and ever-smiling stands Evagerine, a 47-year-old mother who lives in Meru. For the past few years, this enterprising mom has been engaging in crop farming.

Evagerine dreams that through farming she will be able to pull away from poverty and see to it that all her family successfully has a good life. She is a visionary and keen to ensure that she keeps on progressing.

Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, has extended its services to the remote areas in the Meru region of Kenya, and their staff is keen to ensure that hardworking women have been actively involved in mixed farming. Evagerine loves farming, for it is her only way of securing a living for her family.

Evagerine is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers to improve her horticulture crop farm. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. Through this intervention, she will be able to improve the quality of her farm products and attract more buyers, leading to more profits.
