Florence's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase farm inputs such as fertilizers and good-quality seeds to help a poor woman improve her crop production and use the profits to secure her future.

Florence's story

The lovely poor woman you see in this photo is Florence, a 50-year-old mom of four school-going children. She is from a remote village in the Kapcherop area of Kenya. She is a very hard-working person. Thanks to her daily efforts, she has managed to give her family a good start by providing them with a good quality life.

Her family members are very supportive in marketing their produce. The milk she produces is sold locally to various milk dealers, thereby earning her profits. Despite the challenges she faces as a woman, Florence has always remained focused on her goals.

Though Florence dearly loves crops farming, her farm is at risk of attack by crop pests and diseases. To a poor rural farmer, treatment of crop diseases requires an increase in the total operational costs to the extent that, in most cases, the amount of capital invested to produce a desired yield surpasses the output harvested. The remedy is to use certified seeds that are resistant to pests and diseases.

Florence is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizer. Your loan will enable her to improve her crop production through the use of quality farm inputs. Through this investment, she will be able to improve the quality of her farm products and attract more buyers, leading to more profits. Florence would appreciate a loan during this phase of 2020.
