Zigama Tcb Group's story

Laurence, aged 34, is married with four children aged between three and 13 years. Her husband is a construction worker.

Laurence is the leader of the group named Zigama Tcb which, in English means “To Save". Group members sell different items and own a variety of stores.

For the past three years. Laurence has been selling foodstuffs. She will use her loan to buy more sweet potatoes, banana plantains and Irish potatoes to sell in her community. With the profits from her sales, she will pay her children's school fees and put away some savings. Laurence is thankful for your wonderful support .

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all group members, but was able to photograph one representative of the group.
