A loan helped to produce more veggies to sell in the market in order to increase the income for her family.

Assucena's story

Assucena is a 37-year-old Mozambican woman. She is married and lives in Maputo Province with her husband and their two lovely children.

Assucena is a very hardworking woman. She does her best to support her family and to improve her children's well-being. She has been working in agriculture since she was very young. Besides agriculture she also raises poultry in order to complete her family income. Together with her husband, Assucena produces a variety of veggies such as lettuce, cabbage, onion, garlic, and carrots.

Because of their irregular rainy season, Assucena also produces some grains such as maize and peanuts which also helps her to feed the chicken.

Assucena needs to improve her veggies production, and this is why she is requesting a Kiva loan to produce more veggies to sell in the market in order to increase the income for her family.
