but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cases of fish and fresh vegetables to resell.

01_Wango Group's story

Formed in November 1995, this "Banc Villageois" brings together six courageous women of the same neighborhood. They share strong values of friendship and solidarity, and their main business is buying and selling goods. The representative is Mame Anta, 39, who is standing to the right of the photo raising her hand. She is married without children.

Mame Anta has been selling fresh fish and vegetables for ten years. She buys her supplies from fishermen in different fishing docks in the region and resells them in her neighborhood.

She is going to buy three cases of fish every two days, one bag of carrots, 15 kg of onions, cabbage, turnips, okra, etc. to resell with a profit margin. The quality of her products has allowed her to develop a good clientele, and she therefore does well despite the competition.

She will use her profits to increase her savings, help her husband, and manage her small expenses.
