Naum's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs that she will use to improve her production and make more income for her family.

Naum's story

Naum is a 39-year old mother of three children who is full of drive and ambition. Been a hard worker all her life, Naum is a mixed dairy and crop farmer living in Kapsowar, Kenya. Through agriculture, she has made her life meaningful and feels she is now deriving maximum pleasure from it.

In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic. The farming inputs that are now being used have been upgraded. It is necessary to use these improved inputs, which include high-quality seeds and fertilizers, to ensure effective production.

As an informed farmer, Naum has borrowed funds to buy these farm inputs. This loan is an opportunity that Naum has never had before. Her irregular income and lack of collateral were the main factors preventing her from accessing a loan in commercial banks. Thanks to Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva, the lives of Naum and her family will be changed through this loan.

Supporting her with a loan will be key in facing the financial crisis that have been brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
