A loan helped to buy used clothing and meat.

Belen Group's story

Rosa is 44 years old, married, and the mother of three children; only two of her children depend on her, and one of her children is already working.

She started a business selling meat and used clothing a year and a half ago. She had another business making tortillas but she has not been doing that work for several years.

She got an idea to start a business selling meat and clothing as a street vendor. Because she knows many people in neighboring communities from where she lives, she saw the opportunity to start this business. She has the financial support of her husband, who is a worker on tobacco farms.

She is requesting a loan from Fundenuse and Kiva to invest in her business so that she can offer a variety of products to her customers. Her next goal is to diversify her business by selling other products to have a wider variety of items for her customers. In the future, she wants to improve her business.

She belongs to the "Belén" loan group with María Francisca who is dedicated to selling meat and María Auxiliadora who sells fried food and tortillas.
