A loan helped to build a safe latrine.

Yem's story

Yem is a construction worker living with his family in a rural area in the Cheung Prey district, Kampong Cham province. He has been in the construction business for almost 5 years. With support from his team, he is providing construction service to villagers. He is now 30 years old and has only one child attending school. Yem is honest and industrious in his daily duties because he wants to uplift his living conditions and provide for his child's basic needs and education. With his profits from the construction business, his wife is engaging in agriculture sector for better revenue.

The family doesn’t have a safe latrine, so Yeon is asking for a loan to build a safe latrine. A household latrine will enable him to promote good health and improve the family's living conditions. He will also save some part of this funds helping to purchase seeds and fertilizer to supply the agriculture productivity.

In the future, he aims to renovate his old house and push his child to continue studying at university.

He sends thanks for supporting his family's finances and promises to pay the loan back on time, as scheduled.
