Kellis Maria's story

Kellis Maria is a 44-year old micro-entrepreneur who lives in Cartagena with her spouse. She has run a business for three years. She has a hardware store where she sells products like hinges, calipers, chisels, padlocks, screwdrivers, keys, hammers and other items.

Before starting her business, Kellis Maria was employed at a company that distributed hardware goods. It was enough time for her to acquire the knowledge she needed to start her own business. With her savings, Kellis Maria started buying the basics she'd need for a hardware store. With time, she was able to stock up the store so she would have everything she'd need. Today, her business provides her with sufficient income to support her family and grow the business.

Due to the worldwide Covid -19 pandemic and health and safety concerns, Kellis Maria hasn't been able to work as much and her income has gone down drastically. That is why she got involved with the Cartagena Responds program. She is requesting her first Credikiva with Fundación Santo Domingo. Her goal is to invest in purchasing torque meters, padlocks, key sets, screwdriver sets, metric tape measures, ladders and other items.
